What are the lies that come to you? I’m to old, I’m too shy, I don’t know enough, I’m too mean! There are always voices coming to us trying to stop us!

What are some things that we can do to stop these lies and move forward? We need to look at a common theme that is always there throughout our lives! Usually the thing that we have had the hardest time with. That’s the thing that we have become an expert on.

Mine is trauma. In a matter of 15 years I got raped at knifepoint, went through 3 marriages and divorces, my parents got divorced after 43 years of marriage. Trauma became a theme in my life. A series of events that set my life on a track where the only thing that I could do was to pursue God and get help! I didn’t have any other direction to go, I would have sank! After doing this so desperately for years it became my call, my reason to get up and breath another day.

It’s turned into my hobby. There have been some things that could have stopped me dead in my tracks and I’ve had to learn to take the adversity and turn it to the thing that challenged me to come up higher.

Helping someone else succeed and helping inspire them, became the thing that gave me joy and gave me power! Every once in a while I will get a little stumped on something and I have a group of people all around me to speak into me and help me stay on track! I really do appreciate my tribe and my connections!

Do you have a tribe around you to help hold your arms up when you need it? People that you can be honest with and will pray for you? Not a bad idea to start looking and seeing who they are. Those little lies need to stop!

Write down your connections. The people that God has surrounded you with! The ones you contact if you get tripped up! Remember we all get fooled and lied to at times!

You DO have a purpose! Yours may be similar to mine! Yours may be completely different! It will most likely be that theme of events that has gone on forever and you can’t seem to get away from it!

Find your purpose!

Write your vision!

Pursue your dreams!

Destiny will appear!

Invest in yourself to get help!

Read books, watch videos, find a coach!

Counteract those lies!

You can do this!

No matter what is going on in this world it is still time to find our purpose. It’s not time to give up, it’s not time to stop dreaming. It’s not time to think that the slowing down will stop our dreams.

There are hurting people that need help, more so than ever. It’s time for our voices to be heard. It’s time to get connected to the people that can hook us up with our highest potential. Negativity just will not fit where we need to go. Is something tearing you down or not serving you well? You just have to let it go!

We have to learn to read books by people that have walked where we need to walk and done things that we want to accomplish. We need to be inspired to find our gifts and what makes us passionate!

We need to stop finding all the things that are wrong in our lives and start thinking about all the things that are right. We have to get creative and find ways to help others succeed! If we can’t be happy be happy for someone that is doing wonderful! Learn from them and be teachable.

We need to stop thinking that everyone just wants our money and we don’t need to hear what they have to say. Sometimes it is time to invest in ourselves. We are the best investment that we can make and we are definitely worth it.

All we need is faith the size of a mustard seed… that is very small… and we can start moving mountains! We sometimes need to get help if we can’t find even that size of faith. It’s there, we just need to build it up like a muscle.

Sooo let’s do this! Let’s find people that we need to be like, let’s listen to their YouTube messages, read their books, and get fed into our spirits what they are doing to get where they are and be who they are. It’s our responsibility to fulfill our destiny, dreams and not give up!

We grow when we are outside of our comfort zone. Let’s make this change in our world a time of growth! Let’s be around people that are thriving not just surviving! We are on this earth a short time, let’s make the best of it and make it count! Shine where you are supposed to shine!

Set those goals and accomplish them!

Time for the excuses to stop!

We can’t blame others for our unhappiness!

It’s time to stand up and make a difference!

We only live once with only so many days!

Let’s make each day count!

Something that I’ve learned early on is to adjust and go with what is going on. If things seem crazy and chaotic, I’ve had to see what all I could learn from the situation. Mostly I’ve had to learn how much my Father is large and in charge of everything.

If things feel too huge for me, I’ve had to learn to Let go and Let God handle it. These things may sound like little cliche quotes, but in a time of need and despair they are powerful.

I’m not talking about just some little fluffy things here guys! I’m talking about letting go in huge life or death situations and times when you or someone that you know can be going down the tubes! Yes I’ve been through many things like that or know friends or family members that have and my Father has come through every single time, right on time!

Fear is a liar! False evidence appearing real is so, so true! I have had to stay away from false things so that I could have peace in my heart and soul! Many things being presented to us may be false about ourselves or even about others so I just keep my mind on my Father.

“Be prepared. You’re up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it’s all over but the shouting you’ll still be on your feet. Truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You’ll need them throughout your life. God’s Word is an indispensable weapon. In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other’s spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out.”

The Bible has many words of peace, truth and comfort. My Father is always full of love for me. He always makes a way of escape for me. He never favors any person over another. We all just have different walks in life. We have different stories to tell. We have different ways that we are to help others.

My stories are of many calamities and overcoming them. Overcoming to the place of thriving is the most exciting thing that can happen! Learning how to not live in self pity when bad things happen, but turning them around to good!

Many things got accomplished while I have been walking through tremendous trials and it wasn’t always me doing it! It was a power greater than myself working through me!

I think that you will find through history, some of the most powerful people were ones that endured much persecution, adversity, and trauma but yet kept going!

There are many things that have changed and been gone from my life recently and I’m sure you have experienced the same.

Yesterday on Mother’s Day I noticed some of the little things that have been added that have seemed small but they mean everything to me.

One thing, the other evening Marty and I got to go for a real date night across the state line where a restaurant was really, really open! I can’t tell you how much we appreciated that! And, oh that tea to go!! Wow! It was wonderful!

Yesterday we went to drive up church and I got a bright pink ink pen and a Cookies n’ Cream Hershey’s candy bar… what another precious gift!

That wasn’t the only gift I got there! I got to be in a car next to a lady that I had worked in a salon with for several years. I had just thought of her daughter recently, that had special needs, that I used to get to talk to in the shop. Sure enough, there she was! This girl is the sweetest girl ever and she was rocking out to the praise and worship music just like we were.

We sent her a thumbs up and she sent one back! It’s the little things! Then this morning I got this message!

This was a special gift that I got this morning! I was grieving some past things not being the same anymore but realized just today that new beginnings are happening… new things are rising up…. that the past is gone… it’s a new day and I don’t want to go back! I’ve changed and I like the change!

New ideas are coming to me… new ways of doing things! I’ve been waiting for this to show up and it is finally coming clear to me!

Breakthrough into the new!

Don’t keep going over old history!

New connections are around every corner!

Serve the new connections don’t try to bring the old ones back to life!

I remember the day well that the reality hit me. I heard on a private Facebook post that a conference with 4000 people had been cancelled. I instantly realized this was a big deal. I instantly thought, “My thirteen year old granddaughter is not going to be able to fly to the other side of the nation right now!”

I remember voicing that to different people and sounding crazy, but I knew that I knew…this was BIG. I had to wait…I had to let the process hit other people the way that it had to hit me. I needed to pray and let go!

Something that I have learned is that I cannot control things. I have to trust my Father, that is Large and in charge of it all. As the days went by that week, more and more happened, and finally at the end of the week hardly anyone was flying and she stayed home.

We really have to hold onto everything with open hands! Even now as we are about six weeks into this thing, every time that our lockdown gets extended and every time that we hear the numbers, I have to stop and think, “What are we heading into?”

I’ve seen this so many times in my life that everything has to just blowup in order to fall into place. Change was definitely needed in our world, I knew it, you probably knew it… but sometimes it has to get messy before it can change!

That’s where we are today in the messy! We will get to the other side of this thing! I know that we will! We just have to focus on just one day at a time and see what we have to do that day! I joined an online Bible study called Be Still, that just happened to come across my path by some “coincidence.” This will be once a week through May.

We just have to readjust, think of the good things about these times of not being so busy. Pray for the people that are ill and their families, and I am so sorry if one of your loved ones or someone that you know has been affected by this dreadful illness.

Keep our eyes on the Father, stay focused on our dreams, and Breathe! One thing that we will always have on this earth is death and trials. No way around it, we just have to learn to trust our Father, know that He knows best, and take every thought captive that would tear us down! It’s a battle but we can do it!
