The #Re-words!

I LOVE all of the Re-words!! Every year I have some friends come over at the beginning of the year and we make Vision Boards! I love this and it really does help birth your visions and dreams.

This year I put several Re-words on my Vision Board!! When I’m putting these things I really don’t know why I am putting them but the things start coming and I put them down! Here is my Vision Board from this year:

As you can see around the middle I put many re-words…I LOVE things that get second chances! Restore is the first re-word and I love to be a part of anything getting restored!! I have been a hairdresser for years and love to #Restore people’s hair! Now I am a part of #Restoring people’s lives!

When I wrote all these words I didn’t realize that we would plow in and be #restoring so many things in our home but wow it has taken off and it is so fun and exciting!! I notice I also put the word Creativity on the bottom and that has really taken off too!!

To the right a little above the middle I put “new furniture” real small and I really had no clue that would be happening and it’s all over the place already!! New and refurbished! Wow this is fun! We just have to let our Vision be known! Things start being drawn to us! Even new restored strength and energy!

Now let’s get real…. all these wonderful things are not happening without opposition along the way! Y’all know that, right? Let’s talk about that now! Over the time that we have started we had a little granddaughter that needed major surgery. We have seriously had so many deaths all around us in the last two months that I have lost count. Many of these people were immediate family members. Marty even did one of the funerals. Along with all of this, we watch two little granddaughters ages 1 & 3 every Friday. We have had to trade and switch that around because of so many funerals.

I also had on my Vision Board…small community groups. These are from my church! Yes the first week we tore into the kitchen remodel was the week they started. Forget about them coming to a clean house in order, right? But it’s still progress and it’s still all moving forward. We have now finished the 8th week of small group and have never had to miss a meeting. Also included in this mix was a stomach virus for Marty and I both.

So…what I’m saying is, don’t think that these things easily just fell in my lap! I’m not used to things being easy though so that’s a good thing!

Also in my Vision Board I put exercise and healthy diet. I have managed to get on a simple exercise routine and eating healthier! I’ve missed a few days but the exercise and writing ( also on Vision Board) fit in first thing in the morning (unless I have a stomach bug) so I don’t evade doing it!

The momentum to do all this and not lose it or give up has been nothing short of a miracle though and I think that’s because it is written down! Not to mention my 91 year old mama just texted me back, “Ok!” We are trying to decide whether to take her to hospital for X-ray or not because she fell on her tailbone… she thinks it’s getting better!❤️

In the meantime, my brother has my 96 year old dad living with him now and they have both had their wives pass away in the last two months. Whoa!!

I’m glad the word Focus is on the board also because that is what I’m doing and what I have always learned to do! You know I could throw many, many more things into the mix of things but just thought I’d give you a highlight!

The little granddaughter did not have to have the surgery!! Woo hoo! Her body seems to be Restoring as she is going along!

I will get back out to help Marty with the refurbishing of our furniture! I will send pics to you all after it’s finished!

I encourage you to make a Vision Board!! It helps you stay Focused on your goals and dreams! Remember when people act like everything comes easy peasy they are just lying… that’s all! But it can still can happen! All of it can fit!!

You should see how sly I’ve had to be in here writing while Marty is out there doing all the work! Gotta go!

You can do it!

Revamp!

Restore!

Reconstruct!

Redo!

Reset!

You are RELEASED!

See you soon with pics!!❤️

Connections…

Hello…just sharing today about connections. We are not supposed to walk arm in arm with just everyone…not because we don’t like them, simply because we aren’t traveling on the same path. We can actually go through something quite uncomfortable to make us #Shift back into the path we are supposed to be on.

How many times have you felt this? We can’t take everything personal and be hurt by closed doors! Usually closed doors are for our benefit! Of course it has to sting for a little while to get our attention… but we have to work through those things.

There are several things to work through when we encounter these situations:

1. Was there an unhealthy soul tie there that needs to be broken and cleaned up?

2. Were there any word curses or bad things spoken about us or that we may have spoken about others? We need to get our heart cleaned up from any hurts from this.

3. Any things that we are believing about ourselves that are simply not true? We have to concentrate on the truth about us and our gifts, calling, and purpose!

4. We can’t beat ourselves up if we do make a mistake! Just learn every lesson you can from that mistake!

If you haven’t read my book #shift Happens… here is the link to it…

I am now writing the 3rd book that will be speaking about many of these same things!

If you need to have a 30 minute coffee chat for direction simply reply back to me!!

I am cheering you on for your dreams to come true!!

I want to help you beat distractions!!

I want to help you get UNSTUCK and out of old patterns!!

Time to move forward!!

See you soon!!❤️❤️❤️

#Stay in your own lane…

Wow, this was something that I learned big time last year and still walking it out for this year. I used to try to run to everything around that was going on. People would be saying different things than what pertained to me and things that didn’t really do anything for my life.

I got involved in some things that even distracted me from what I was really supposed to be doing and the road I was supposed to be walking down.

I finally heard this phrase loud and clear! Just because something is exciting going on around me doesn’t mean that I have to participate. I have to stay focused! Staying focused sharpens my own destiny and makes my life fall together better. It gives me structure in my life and works out my own destiny. Things are not always about other people’s lives and purposes and destinies. Sometimes I get to have one too!😍

I would even be places that were serving me well in some areas but not in others. Maybe I was supposed to be there for a time but not forever. Here are 4 things that I do every morning now to get my day started off right and keep me from getting distracted:

1. Pray

2. Read

3. Write

4. Exercise

I realized that if I do them everyday that I don’t have to remember which days I do it. I won’t say, “Oh forgot that, I will do it tomorrow,” because I do it Everyday!

It grounds me… it centers me…it defines me! I’m not trying to be someone else or what they want me to be for them. I’m being Me and what I’m created to be!!

The exercises that I do are rotated between 2 YouTube videos which are 15 minutes each, one is walking a mile and the other is a weight lifting workout! This simplified it for me and keeps me from leaving the house and getting distracted into too many other things!

I’m not saying that is right for you, but it works for me. It’s all about focusing on my identity and not getting lost.

The most amazing thing is that I am not missing anything… things come into my life instead of me going out searching to find them! They are the richest things that come into my life!! Things that I couldn’t have made happen!! Things that are drawn to me!! Things that don’t try to change me!! Try to embrace your own lane!! It’s not a lonely place, it’s a wonderful place!!

If you need help finding your lane and purpose contact me!! I’d be glad to help!!

Complain… you remain!

I have so much to say in this blog today. I’m trying to bring it all together to make sense!

It’s not good to complain about something that we have no vision to change. Complaining about things is very draining and does not attract positive outcomes into our life!

Having a grateful heart is a magnet for miracles. Do you think you can go 24 hours without complaining? The beginning of this month I set out to do just that. Guess what happened? So many things came about to complain about that it made it very hard to accomplish. Does that really surprise you? Not me! I have learned that ANY time I set out to do something I can expect HUGE opposition!

The opposition does NOT win though! We have to learn to have PEACE in the midst of the storm! That is very attainable by changing the way we think!! We can’t keep thinking that bad things are not supposed to happen, because they just do!

Between Marty and myself in the last 2 months we have had 8 people in our immediate family pass away. I had 2 cousins with young sons that died, one took his life and the other was drugs, my sister in law passed away to cancer, my stepmother passed away, I had a 2nd cousin die, then one month later his son that was my age fell and hit his head and passed away, Marty’s 1st cousin that was so sweet and 45 also passed away with cancer. You know, there have been moments that I thought, man I need to grieve this all and process it! Which is true, we do have to do that…. but the main, main truth that you have to get out of what I am saying is this: THERE IS NEVER A TIME FOR SELF PITY!!

Grieving is different than self pity! Life is not supposed to be full of self pity every time a sad thing occurs! We go through the stages of grief, we deal with them, we heal and move on! Some people are closer and we have to grieve a little longer but I can’t imagine one person that would want their family member to sit around and feel sorry for themselves because they passed!

I’m still waiting today for the funeral arrangements of 2 of the family members this week, but I can’t help but realize the things in my life that I am so, so blessed about! There are always blessings and things to be grateful for! Think of those things even more than grief!!

We got to go down to Florida and visit family and swim and celebrate birthdays with them, we got to enjoy 82 degrees a few weeks ago, we got to stop and visit my Dad and my nephew, that had just lost his mom, on the way home! We got to go pick up my daughter from N. Carolina at the airport to celebrate her little 3 year old niece’s birthday over the weekend! And today I get to celebrate my Dad’s 96th Birthday, even though he just lost his wife, my stepmom, 2 days ago!

My Dad fought against the Nazis in The Battle of the Bulge in Germany! He’s a soldier and survivor still living to tell about the battles.

He has not had a perfect life, we didn’t realize until the last few years that he probably suffered PTSD all of his life and we didn’t realize it. But he has managed with God’s help to leave a legacy!

My life also has been much, much trauma just like lots of us have been! The trick is, what do you do with the trauma? Do you use it to learn new mindsets, new ways to survive, new ways to help others?

The things we have struggled with the most are usually the things that teach us the most if we are willing to learn! I am so excited to use my trauma to speak life and love into other people’s lives! It gives me purpose and destiny!

I hope you find your destiny and purpose! Every ugly thing can be turned into beauty! It’s all about perspective!!

#Joy for Mourning

#praise over heaviness

#no pity parties allowed

See you soon❣️😘

#Mindsets…

Just recently someone did an interview with me on a blogpost…mainly it was about mindsets. It made me think about the way changing my #mindset has actually changed my life.

When I got raped at knifepoint, I could be a victim to that for life and get lots of sympathy about it. Instead, I chose to forgive the person, and realize that he is a victim to something way worse than I have ever experienced or he would not be going around doing something like this. In forgiving, I let go of a whole truckload of baggage I could have been carrying around on my back!

I received an education from walking through this trauma to be able to help others. I understand what it feels like to walk through something like that. It rocks and shakes your world… but it can rock and shake your world into something that makes you stronger! Any hard thing that we go through gives us the power to rise above and be stronger… if we shift our mindset with it!

This may sound like a little meme but if we can really get ahold of it, it is life transforming! If we can find the positive side of it…Example:

1. It changed my perspective about life.

2. It made me realize that I have a life purpose.

3. Made me determined to help people!

4. Gave me an education to help change lives!

What positive things can you find about a trauma that you may have been through? I am not saying to be a robot and not feel any negative feelings. I am saying “grieve well” …. take that grief and let it turn your life in the right direction, with good fruit coming from it! Fruits of love, joy, peace, and forgiveness… not bitterness, hatred, sorrow, and torment!

A proverb in the Bible says it well, ” As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.”

I encourage you today to learn how to change your #mindsets around… if you need help I am here! Don’t stay stuck in a place of negative thinking that is taking you no place!!
